Caribbean Congress
of Fundamentalists

October 29-November 2, 2001, over 110 registered delegates
from 17 countries were represented at the second Caribbean
Congress of Fundamentalists in Carolina, Puerto Rico. During
the 5-day congress, 11 speakers proclaimed God's Word to
both English- and Spanish-speaking audiences which numbered
over 500 attendees for the evening sessions. Dr. Johnny
Daniels, pastor of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle located near
San Juan, Puerto Rico, hosted this congress on the Calvary
Baptist Tabernacle campus.
Recurring
themes that were touched upon by various speakers included
the importance and authority of the Word of God and the
necessity for and vehicles of revival in the church today.

Rick Arrowood, pastor of Troy Baptist Temple, Troy, Ohio:

Dr. Brian Green, pastor of Calvary Free Grace Baptist Church,

Dr. Paul Hawkins, pastor of Tidewater Baptist Temple, Chesapeake,
Virginia: "Reviving the Stones Out of the Heaps of
Rubbish"
Dr. Sam Horn, Executive Vice President of Northland Baptist
Bible College, Dunbar, Wisconsin: "Inspiration and
Inerrancy: Ground Zero in the Battle for Truth" and
"Modeling Modern Ministry after the Master"
Dr. Bob Jones III, president of Bob Jones University, Greenville,
South Carolina; world co-chairman of the International Testimony
to an Infallible Bible: "When Thou Goest Out to Battle
. . . Be Not Afraid" and "God is Not Sentimental"
Rev. Al McClaran, pastor of Morningside Baptist Church,
Greenville, South Carolina; chairman of Open Door Baptist
Missions: "Separatism and Soulwinning"
Dr. Matt Olson, pastor of Tri-City Baptist Church, Broomfield,
Colorado; newly appointed president of Northland Baptist
Bible College: "Separated-Not Isolated"
Dr. Don Richards, pastor of Corinth Baptist Church, Stone
Mountain, Georgia; president Macedonia World Baptist Missions:
"The Importance and Ingredients of Paul's Charge to
Timothy"
Dr. John Vaughn, pastor of Faith Baptist Church, Taylors,
South Carolina; founder Hidden Treasure Christian School:
"Demonstrating the Authority of the Bible: The Practice
of Fundamentalism" and "Depending on the Authority
of the Bible: The Power of Fundamentalism"
During
the week of the congress, several ladies sessions were offered.
Mrs. Beneth Jones, Mrs. Dolly Arrowood, Mrs. Lenore Bell,
and Mrs. Brenda Vaughn provided instruction to the gathering
of ladies attending the congress.
